We have been engaged in several mesh developments since many years which quickly lead to Technology Rediness Levels for applications within space missions.
Applications of our meshes range from earth observation to telecommunication, from antenna engineering models (EM) to protoflight/flight models (PFM/FM), from small fixed reflectors up to very large deployable reflectors (LDR).
Our currently most visible project is the development and delivery of a 8m diameter Ka-band mesh for the Copernicus mission CIMR with satellite prime ThalesAleniaSpace (Italy) and the European Space Agency (ESA) as final customer.
Many other meshes have been already delivered to Customers in Europe, USA and Asia. Based on that heritage, some other high performance textile derivates have been and will be developed in the future.
Development of a Ka-band mesh tailored to the needs for the Large Deployable Reflector Subsystem (LDRS) of the Copernicus Earth Observation mission CIMR; delivery of 8m diameter meshes (EQM, FM1, FM2) as Customer Furnished Item (CFI) for the LDR developed/assembled by LSS, contracted by LDRS-prime HPS.
2019: Characterisation of an L-band mesh for an LDRS for the ROSE-L mission and of a Ka-band mesh for the LDRS for the CIMR mission. 2020: Production of a 8m Ka-band mesh (Engineering Model) as Customer Furnished Item (CFI) for the LDR developed/assembled by LSS, contracted by HPS.
2017-2018: Development and characterisation of a X/Ku-band mesh for Telecom- and Earth Observation missions.Â
2019: Production of a 5m X/Ku-band mesh (Protoflight Model) as CFI for the LDR developed/assembled by LSS.
